Master Taimak Guarriello,
His name is pronounced Tie Mock. It’s an Aztec name that means
"Striking Eagle", originating from a young Mexican prophet that,
similar to Robin Hood, stole from the rich and gave to the poor. The original
spelling of the name is Teimoc. His father didn’t find his name from the
Aztec’s though. He named him after a 10 year old boy. He and his mother used
to take care of him, and after his father married his mother the first person he
thought of was that 10 year old boy that left a place in his heart. Later Taimak
found out that he was the captain of the 1976 U.S. Olympic team, Teimoc Johnson.
He got a chance to meet him in 1992.
He was raised in New York and Europe. He lives his life everyday to move in the
direction of his deepest passions and that entails many things like acting,
martial arts, art and everything that it involves. His Friends and Family and
learning about himself especially through his creativity.
His purpose is to, through his craft, express human emotions and put it in a
story, a film, play or any other form of media. In doing so, he hopes that other
humans see themselves in him and learn more about themselves while working out
whatever is holding them back in life.
He loves Martial Arts because it helps him to exercise my demons in a healthy
way. Sometimes you can see him in the park practicing his Kata’s or at the
boxing gym.
Master Guarriello has had many Martial Arts instructors, all extremely powerful
in their own right...Grandmaster Ron Van Clief (Chinese Goju), Gerald Orange
(Japanese Goju Karate and Tai Chi), Joe Moreira (Brazilian Ju Jitsu), and Utsumi
(Do-Jitsu). He has also trained with some of the best Martial Artist in the
world. "There’s one thing I’ve learned in my training as a Martial
Artist and that is to always seek the form of expressing yourself, that’s most
honest, peaceful, and the most healing to yourself and others", states
Taimak.
Master Taimak Guarriello is currently a 7th
degree Black Belt and a former New York State Kickboxing Champion. "I have
to say personally that Taimak is one of the most inspirational people that I
have met and he is definitely worthy of being spotlighted on Karate Kidz Online,
he has touched many peoples lives through his martial arts and through his
movies, such as "The Last Dragon" and "Higher Ed", I look
forward to seeing him on the big screen soon" stated Louis Velazquez of KKO.
He is a great motivator and helps his friends,
family and students see the light in the deepest of darkness, to keep a healthy
lifestyle and enjoy everything in moderation. He is a genuine person and a great
actor, he has starred in such movies as "Higher Ed", "The Last
Dragon", "Dirty Deals", and "The Company", he has also
starred on such Television shows as "Ally McBeal", "A Different
World", "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Malcolm and Eddie",
he has appeared in several music videos and theater productions as well.
